"A Continuance of the Civil War Sesquicentennial"

The next monthly meeting of the Ravena-Coeymans Historical Society will be held on November 10, at 7 p.m. at the Village Hall, 15 Mountain Road in Ravena. Gene Gore, Vice President of The Capital District Civil War Round Table and our own "local" Peter Recene will be our joint speakers. Both are retired friends with an interest in Civil War research.

Gene Gore will tell us about The Capital District Civil War Round Table organization, including information on the new Civil War Museum in Saratoga, among other topics of importance.

Peter Recene has a roster of Civil War Veterans from Coeymans, and will also speak about correspondence between two women, one from the Union side in New York and the other from the Confederate side in South Carolina, sharing their views of the Civil War with each other. Refreshments will be served following the presentation
